The LPN will provide comprehensive healthcare services to incarcerated individuals, including physical assessments, medication administration, and wound care. They will also maintain accurate medical records and respond to medical emergencies within the correctional facility.
Candidates must be graduates of a Licensed Practical Nursing program and hold an active state certification as an LPN. A valid BLS CPR certification from the American Heart Association and the ability to pass a criminal background check are required.
NaphCare is hiring FT LPN Night Shift to join our team of medical professionals in Tampa, Florida, where we manage all aspects of healthcare for the individuals who are currently incarcerated in the Hillsborough County Jail.
As a Correctional Nurse, you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide care to the individuals in residence. Working within a controlled environment, where security is top priority and the days are never dull, you will have various duties to keep you engaged including performing physical assessments, administering medications, managing chronic illnesses, and responding to emergencies. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex medical needs.

As an LPN, you will play a critical role in our continued mission to provide quality healthcare that protects the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population. Duties and responsibilities may include and not be limited to:
Must possess an active BLS CPR Certification (American Heart Association Required)
Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
