Position Summary
The Clinical Manager – This leader is responsible for internal case management, clinical oversight, field staff evaluation and development, and the delivery of safe, high-quality, client-centered care that reflects The BAYADA Way values of compassion, excellence, and reliability.
In partnership with office leadership and Client Services, the Clinical Manager conducts client assessments and care planning, oversees clinical services, and drives quality, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement across the practice.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Client Care Management
Lead field staff in delivering superior home health and home care services in accordance with BAYADA policies, state and federal regulations, and accreditation standards.
Coordinate client care, referrals, and internal case management; act as client advocate and collaborate with physicians, payers, case managers, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize outcomes and prevent avoidable hospitalizations.
Oversee the delivery of all services, including review of clinical documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and clinical appropriateness from start of care through discharge.
Work with internal offices (e.g., Medicare Care Management, Managed Care, finance) to support accurate coding, authorization management, supplies coordination, and timely responses to payer documentation requests and denials.
Field Staff Supervision, Coaching & Performance
Participate in hiring and interviewing of field staff as applicable to practice needs; collaborate with Directors and Client Services on workforce planning and recruitment priorities.
Observe and confirm clinical competency of field staff through direct supervision, skills validation, and documentation review; assign appropriate skill codes to support safe, appropriate client assignments.
Conduct field supervisory visits and documentation reviews, providing real-time feedback, recognition, and coaching to reinforce clinical excellence and adherence to policies and procedures.
Complete regular performance evaluations for field staff, jointly with Client Services Managers as appropriate; address performance issues and support professional growth through coaching and development plans.
Maintain knowledge of productivity expectations for field staff and support staff in meeting visit and shift productivity standards
Quality, Compliance & Documentation
Demonstrate and communicate The BAYADA Way and ensure all care is delivered in alignment with BAYADA policies, procedures, and clinical standards.
Review clinical documentation to ensure it is accurate, timely, complete, and compliant with regulatory, payer, and accreditation requirements; ensure documentation progresses efficiently through each stage of the care delivery process.
Partner with leadership to monitor and respond to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and process measures related to quality, outcomes, documentation, and clinician engagement.
Participate in the Infection Control Program by identifying and reporting infections and risks, investigating trends, and developing action plans for improvement.
Support responses to Additional Documentation Requests (ADRs), denials, and other payer inquiries in collaboration with the office team.
Collaboration, Communication & Practice Leadership
Develop strong working knowledge of BAYADA’s mission, services, people, organization, and systems; model engagement and alignment with practice and regional goals.
Work closely with Directors, Client Services Managers, Rehabilitation Managers (where applicable), Clinical Practice Leadership, and Learning & Development to ensure cohesive management of field staff and alignment of clinical practice across Home Health and Home Care.
Function as a liaison between field and office staff, promoting open communication, collaborative problem-solving, and shared accountability for quality and service.
Participate in performance improvement initiatives, councils, and committees, sharing insights and best practices to advance clinical excellence and consistency across offices and divisions.
Represent BAYADA in community, referral source, and professional activities as requested, reinforcing BAYADA’s reputation for exceptional home-based care.
Administrative & Other Responsibilities
Support general office operations as part of a collaborative team, including phones, filing, and special projects as needed.
Maintain current knowledge of, and adherence to, BAYADA policies and procedures; applicable government, contract, and accrediting body regulations; and home care industry trends.
Strive continually for professional growth and development through continuing education, training, and organizational involvement.
When necessary and appropriate, fill in to support the field staff to ensure continuity of safe, reliable client care.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an accredited and approved nursing program
Licensure:
Current license in good standing as a Registered Nurse (RN) in CO.
Experience:
Minimum two (2) years of recent nursing experience, with home health and/or home care/community health experience strongly preferred.
Prior supervisory and/or leadership experience (e.g., preceptor, charge nurse, educator, manager) commensurate with program requirements.
Clinical & Professional Skills:
Demonstrated expertise in home-based clinical practice, including assessment, care planning, and case management.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and influence others positively.
Demonstrated record of goal achievement and successful assumption of increasing responsibility over time.
Other:
Meets BAYADA pre-employment and ongoing requirements, including background/exclusion checks and any role- or state-specific criteria.
Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English.
Comprehensive salary (base plus incentives) up to $105k/year.
