The Staff Nurse manages critical care patients by implementing the nursing process and coordinating interdisciplinary care. They are also responsible for supervising licensed and unlicensed personnel to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Candidates must have at least one year of telemetry experience and a current California nursing license. Required certifications include AHA BLS and ACLS, with additional EKG training required within the orientation period.

Experience: One year previous Telemetry experience required. Previous clinical experience in ICU/CCU preferred. Critical Care course/update either prior to hire/transfer or within 6 months of hire/transfer.
Knowledge and Skills: Able to work in a fast-paced environment; manage/prioritize/delegate patient care, and complete work assignments and other duties as assigned. Able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
License and Certifications: Current nursing license, state of California, American Heart Association (AHA) BLS & ACLS, Basic EKG course or passing of 80% or greater on exam to be completed within orientation period and completion of a 12 Lead EKG class either prior to hire/transfer or within 12 months of hire.
