JOB SUMMARY
The role encompasses the management of patient care through implementation of the nursing process, supervision of licensed and unlicensed personnel, and coordination of interdisciplinary care.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
See Licenses and Certifications.
Experience:
One year of recent Acute Care nursing experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
Able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing. Able to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing, prioritizing, delegating patient care, and completing work assignments as well as other duties as assigned.
License and Certifications:
Current, unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS required.
Current NIH Stroke Scale Certification
Basic Arrhythmia, Basic 12-lead EKG are required within 6 months of hire.
Workplace Violence AB508/SB1299 Training within 4-months of hire / transfer into the Emergency Department (Once certified, the employee must re-certify the following year, and then bi-annually).
Equipment:
Computer, Monitoring Equipment, Smart IV Pump, Rapid Infuser, Blood Warmer.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.
PAY RANGE
$47.90 - $71.84
