At Simple Education Foundation (SEF), we work with the government to build statewide strengthening programs for teachers and principals to increase the standard of teaching in government schools across India. Our mission is to strengthen 1 million educators by 2028.
We are a highly driven team with over 50 years of cumulative experience in teaching in classrooms and working with government school systems. Our team is young, dynamic, bold, and audacious enough to make this mission come true in our lifetime. To help us accelerate our impact, we are looking to onboard more members on our paper plane!
About the Delhi State Program
The Delhi State Program, in partnership with the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Delhi, works closely with the state’s Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) initiative, NIPUN Sankalp to strengthen teaching and learning across primary and upper primary grades (Grades 1 to 8).
Aligned with the vision of NEP 2020, NIPUN Sankalp focuses on ensuring that all children achieve grade-appropriate foundational skills through coherent and system-aligned efforts across curriculum, teacher professional development, classroom practice, and assessment systems.
Within this partnership, SEF is working towards building a high-quality, structured FLN ecosystem by strengthening:
Curriculum and learning progressions
Teacher guides and student materials
Practice-based teacher professional development
Continuous academic support and coaching
Data-informed assessment systems
As part of this work, we are also aiming to co-create a unique FLN framework that reflects SEF’s core philosophy, grounded in conceptual understanding, joyful learning, contextual relevance, and strong classroom practice, while remaining aligned with state priorities and scalable within the government system.
About the role
As a Program Associate, you will take on a role in driving the successful implementation of SEF’s programs at the state level. As a Program Associate, you will engage closely with schools, teachers and government stakeholders at the state and district levels, ensuring the success of SEF’s education initiatives. Through dynamic classroom demonstrations, personalized support for teacher coaches, and continuous on-ground engagement, you will empower educators to create meaningful and effective learning environments. You will support program design and delivery while ensuring alignment with SEF’s mission to improve teaching practices in government schools.
This role provides:
● A hands-on opportunity to collaborate with educators and government bodies at the state level, addressing real-world challenges, bridging the gap between policy and practice, and driving impactful interventions.
● An opportunity to design and facilitate meaningful teaching and learning initiatives, ensuring they address state-level education needs and improve teaching practices in government schools.

What will you do?
Assist in Design and delivery of interventions: Work closely with SEF Team to develop engaging, contextually relevant interventions (workshops, trainings, curriculum), and facilitate their delivery to empower educators and stakeholders.
Support implementation: Conduct regular school visits/classroom observations, demo lessons for mentor teachers ensuring on-ground adoption of best practices and providing constructive feedback through coaching, data conversations, recognitions, etc.
Execute data collection processes: Execute structured processes for collecting qualitative and quantitative data, ensuring data accuracy and relevance.
Collaborate with State and District-level stakeholders: Build and sustain meaningful relationships by regularly engaging with stakeholders, aligning on priorities and facilitating the adoption of innovative practices.
Document learning and share knowledge: Maintain organized records of field visits, insights, trackers, processes, and outcomes to drive continuous improvement, government reporting and program impact.

Design & Facilitation: Develop and deliver tailored training sessions that address local needs while facilitating engaging, informative, and reflective sessions for both large and small groups of diverse stakeholders. Create inclusion, safety, and collaboration through their facilitation in both reflective and informational spaces to drive meaningful impact.
Classroom Pedagogy: Designing and delivering effective teaching strategies that foster meaningful learning experiences and promote student engagement and understanding.
Feedback: Observe interventions, programs, and practices and give feedback which is clear, direct and evidence-based
Conducts Effective Field Visits: Conducts regular field visits and demonstrates pro activeness, adaptability, and agility in field settings/during school visits.
Task Management: Manage their own schedule and prioritize tasks based on goals independently without support to meet the desired outcomes of the program.
Adapts to dynamic environments: Thrives in a dynamic environment with agility and works closely with team members to respond effectively to evolving on-ground needs.
Continuous Learning: Demonstrates willingness to learn to read and write in Punjabi within the first six months.
