The Staff Development Specialist I provides training and staff development for employees at the J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center. Responsibilities include assessing training needs, planning, implementing, and evaluating both instructor-led and on-the-job training programs.
Requires a bachelor's degree and one year of experience in a progressive training, teaching, or human services role. Preference is given to candidates with at least two years of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Salary Range: $47,703.00 – $83,479.00

Physical Requirements:
Good physical condition to perform medium work (on occasion) exerting up to 50 pounds of force. Position requires ability to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, feel, talk, hear, & carry out repetitive motions.
This Position Is Designated As Mandatory And Must Report Or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events.
Shift Hours: 1st shift (8:00 am – 5:00 pm), Monday – Friday, with evening work as needed
