The Barback supports bar operations by maintaining product readiness, cleanliness, and organization. They also engage directly with guests to fulfill food and drink requests and ensure seamless service delivery.
Candidates must be at least 21 years old and available to work 10-12 hours per week. TABC and Texas Food Handler’s certifications are required upon hire, with one year of hospitality experience preferred.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Barback supports bar and service operations by maintaining product readiness, cleanliness, and organization while also actively engaging with guests and taking ownership of service needs when required. In the SAQ environment, Barbacks are guest-facing team members who are expected to step in, assist, and execute with confidence — whether restocking the bar, running food, answering guest questions, or fulfilling drink or food requests when appropriate.
This role is foundational to seamless service and embodies our belief that hospitality does not stop at job titles.

Still Austin Whiskey Co. is a homegrown distillery in the heart of Austin, and we use only pure, Texas-grown ingredients. At Still, we’re committed to doing the right thing—period. That means we reject corporate fakeness and we never compromise quality. We “raise” our barrels from birth to maturity, allowing the spirits to endure the wild swings of Texas weather, resulting in layer upon layer of depth and character. We know the farmers who grow our grains, and we are steeped in respect for the distilling process. Most of our spirits are released in small, limited-barrel batches, and all grains are stored at the distillery and milled freshly before each cook. From mill to still, it’s all made from scratch.
