Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 3:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or until completion. Friday hours may vary based on seasonality or production requirements.
Summary of Position:
The Meat Grinding Tech operates various machinery in the grinding department and general utility work within the meat production room, reporting to the 1st Shift Meat Production Supervisor. This position supports the grinding department in producing various bulk and portioned ground meats.
Responsibilities
Successfully complete grinding equipment training within 60 days of hire.
Understand product raw material identification and handling.
Understand and execute assigned daily workload safely, accurately, on-time, and on-budget.
Actively offer feedback and suggestions for improvement to the Meat Grinding Lead or the 1st Shift Meat Production Supervisor.
Embrace and understand the data driven approach utilized in the meat production room.
Be a daily supporter of Fortune’s mission/vision/values.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as schedule, work instructions, safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions.
Ability to calculate basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Ability to communicate with room leaders (written and verbal).
Ability to lift (see details below under physical & mental demand)
Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours, when needed.
Previous machine operating experience preferred.
