The Opportunity
If you enjoy being out in the field, building strong relationships and helping teams work safely, this is a great opportunity to join ElectraNet as our Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Field Advisor, based in Adelaide, the Mid North or regional South Australia.
In this hands-on role, you’ll provide practical HSE advice and operational support across field activities and projects, working closely with employees, contractors and project teams to help manage risk and support safe, well-planned work.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide practical HSE advice to employees, contractors and project teams, ensuring HSE plans and controls are effectively implemented.
Review contractor HSE documentation and support strong HSE outcomes across project planning and delivery.
Conduct site inspections, audits and assessments, including reporting and follow-up on corrective actions.
Support incident investigations, monitor field HSE performance and contribute to continuous improvement.
About You
You’re a practical, field-focused HSE professional who enjoys supporting teams, building trust and helping work happen safely. You’re confident working independently, using sound judgement and engaging with employees, contractors and stakeholders to support safe outcomes.
What you’ll bring:
Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety and/or Environmental Management.
5+ years’ experience in a field-based HSE role, within high-risk environments such as electricity, infrastructure, oil & gas, mining or similar industries.
Strong site HSE management experience, coaching, mentoring and supporting safe work practices.
Well-developed field HSE analytical, inspection and audit capability, ability to assess risk and provide practical advice.
Sound knowledge of OHS and environmental legislation, risk management and contemporary HSE practices.
Proven investigation and problem-solving skills, experience using ICAM or a similar investigation methodology.
Experience using HSE information systems, with exposure to SAP-based information management systems viewed favourably.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to influence outcomes through clear, concise reporting.
Flexible and comfortable working independently across field-based and remote locations.
