Job Description

At AECOM, our acoustics specialists are at the forefront of advising clients on environmental and occupational acoustics, transport infrastructure noise, industrial noise control, audio privacy, and building acoustic design. Based in Brisbane, you’ll be part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team delivering innovative solutions across a diverse range of projects. 

How you’ll make a difference: 

  • Conduct site visits to measure and observe acoustic conditions. 
  • Perform acoustic predictions, calculations, and 3D modelling. 
  • Provide design recommendations and conduct research. 
  • Attend client and design team meetings to share your expertise. 
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Qualifications

  • Attributes: We’re seeking graduates and early career professionals with strong communication and teamwork skills, a proactive and adaptable mindset, and a commitment to professionalism and integrity. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree: You must be in your final year or completed a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or any related discipline. With a strong interest in working in acoustics.
  • Commencement: We have exciting project work commencing right now! We are open to mid-year finishers who are able to commence by July 2027 or young professionals able to start immediately.
  • Due to the nature of some of our projects, Australian Citizenship is desired.
