The Analytics Engineer will design, develop, and automate data pipelines while monitoring the quality of Loyalty domain data feeds. They will also support business stakeholders by translating requirements into technical solutions and performing data validation for various programs.
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in a technical field and at least one year of professional experience in data engineering or analytics. Proficiency in PySpark, SQL, and familiarity with database management systems and pipeline orchestration tools are required.
Analytics Engineer:
We are seeking a motivated Analytics Engineer to join the CTC Triangle Program - Loyalty Data Product Engineering team, reporting to the Engineering Manager. This team leverages a broad range of data technologies and analytical techniques to design, develop, and automate data pipelines and processes consumed across the organization both analytically and operationally. Made up of data engineers and analysts, the team is focused on creating a portfolio of best-in-class products and services that fuel customer-focused analytics and enhance the customer and brand experience. Monitoring and maintaining the quality of Loyalty domain data feeds, including incident investigation, resolution, and ongoing data quality governance.
What you’ll do:
Supporting partnership initiatives through end-to-end testing, post-launch data validation, and issue remediation to ensure accurate data integration and reporting
Contributing to the True North program by performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validating Loyalty-related data tables, business processes, and downstream impacts
Managing stakeholder communications related to Loyalty domain data changes, providing subject matter expertise, and supporting ad hoc business and operational requests.
Follow development best practices under the guidance of senior team members, combining automation and CI/CD with a culture of review and collaboration
Assist in implementing and testing data pipelines to monitor and validate model assumptions and performance adhering to coding standards
Learn and understand business and operational processes to translate stakeholders' requirements into technical requirements to support work processes and strategic business objectives
Support IT and business stakeholders by assisting in decision-making processes with data and data products
Identify and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise, providing scalable resolutions with follow-through under supervision
Contribute to ad-hoc projects that leverage multiple internal and external sources of data such as point-of-sales, loyalty issuance, product hierarchy, customer data etc.
What you bring:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a related field
1+ years of professional experience in data engineering or data analytics
Hands-on experience in PySpark and exposure to pipeline orchestration tools such as Airflow
Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., Hadoop & Hive, MySQL, Databricks etc.)
Self-sufficient in interpreting, decoupling and testing of complicated queries, joins, subqueries in SQL
Basic understanding of delta tables, ETL pipeline concepts, and change data capture
Familiarity with Git for version control
Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
Basic knowledge of bash scripting and cloud SDKs for automation
Strong collaboration and communication skills; proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
Experience working in the retail sector, especially with POS (point-of-sale) data is an asset.
Familiarity with Databricks, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud is an asset
Familiarity with network security protocols (especially relevant for the Senior Data Engineer role) is an asset
Experience with key management and authentication mechanisms is an asset

Broadband Salary Range: $53,000– $88,000.
Our typical hiring range is between $53,000 and $75,000. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements. For critical roles, the compensation offering will be reviewed to ensure alignment with market rate and conditions and the unique value you bring to the role.
