About TD Securities – Global Equity Derivatives Technology Team.
Our mission in the Equity Derivatives Technology team is to provide best in class solutions and support to the front office and many downstream partners. We use a mixture of proprietary and bespoke tech to provide timely solutions to the business.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join the Equity Derivatives Technology Team and embrace a broad range of tasks associated with developing application and systems solutions to address business challenges.
Successful applicants will design and develop technological solutions for key stakeholders, primarily Trading, across the Equity Derivatives Technology platform.
The role involves solutioning and development supporting Trading across multiple asset classes, including market and reference data enrichment for these assets. Responsibilities also include delivering non-functional enhancements (e.g., performance and stability improvements) to the technology stack, incorporating new products, enhancing existing risk system capabilities, and contributing to the evolution of our future state architecture.
A strong focus is placed on engineering excellence, including writing high-quality, well-tested code, maintaining and improving code coverage, and developing automated unit, integration, and regression tests as part of the continuous delivery pipeline. The team employs an agile development methodology and work is prioritized by our stakeholders on an ongoing "just in time" basis. A strong emphasis is placed on software engineering skills.
Collaboration is critical to success in this role. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Candidates are also expected to comply with the bank's in-office requirements.
Meaningful work is fueled by meaningful performance and career development conversations with your manager.
Role & Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of modern full-stack applications across Capital Markets, with a focus on Angular/Node.js applications and C# services.
Build polished and highly functional user experiences using the UI.
Develop and maintain backend APIs and services using C#.
Work directly with business stakeholders, traders, and end users to gather feedback, refine requirements, and help shape the product roadmap.
Actively contribute code, participate in code reviews, and help drive technical design decisions across the team.
Coordinate development efforts and provide technical leadership across multiple projects and initiatives.
Debug production issues quickly and effectively, while improving long-term maintainability and platform stability.
Ensure our platforms are reliable, scalable, secure, and extensible.
Mentor junior and intermediate developers, while promoting engineering best practices across the team.
Develop a strong understanding of capital markets workflows and deliver technology solutions that provide meaningful business value.
CI/CD: Jenkins, Github, Google Cloud Platform (upcoming)
Reporting: ADLS, Databricks (upcoming)
