Business Overview:
The Digital Media Marketing Manager is responsible for executing digital media advertising campaigns that support Fidelity Investments Canada. Working closely with the Manager, Digital Advertising, Fidelity’s media agency, and internal stakeholders, this role supports and leads the execution of one or more advertising channels, including programmatic display and video, direct publisher partnerships, paid search, Fidelity-owned events, and third-party sponsorships. Key responsibilities include supporting asset and media development, providing placement recommendations, optimizing campaigns, delivering detailed post-campaign reporting, and enhancing audience targeting and budget allocation to achieve business objectives.
How You'll Make an Impact:
1. Campaign Management, Execution and Strategy
Collaboration with Advertising, Content, and Digital marketing teams to ensure seamless integration across full communication plan (i.e.paid/owned/earned).
Be the subject matter expert in one or more paid media channels - programmatic display and video, direct publisher partnerships, paid search, Fidelity-owned events, and third-party sponsorships.
Help develop detailed, strategic media brief for the agency and internal stakeholders that reflects business and campaign goals across the marketing funnel.
Ability to uncover and leverage audience insights through the Adobe Analytics platform to build strategies for key target segments.
Leverage internal & external data sources to ensure media plans are based on insight and learning.
Work with agency partners to ensure the right media mix, budget allocation, and platform tactics are in place to meet campaign objectives and deliver strong performance across all channels.
Provide reporting on a consistent basis to ensure campaign optimization and learning for future campaigns; this includes working closely with Data Analytics and Digital teams.
2. Operational Expertise
Strong understanding of omni-channel media planning, with expertise in digital media buying utilizing AI enabled targeting, and in one or more digital media channels to maximize digital marketing effectiveness.
Work within the Adobe and related marketing tech platforms to optimize digital ad campaigns in real time.
Possesses and continuously strives to develop his/her awareness of external trends and market innovations in digital advertising.
Data focused: leverage internal & external data sources to ensure media plans are rooted in insight & learning.
Develop test & learn media tactics with agency, to promote continued learning and optimizations.
Understanding of tagging and ad trafficking systems, codes, and processes.
3. Campaign Reporting
Create in-depth analysis of campaign performance including online media, mobile and web analytics that highlight campaign strengths and weaknesses, performance, return on investment, optimization options, ad fatigue, etc.
Use tools like Adobe Analytics and other data platforms to uncover audience insights and inform targeting strategies for key investor segments. Leverage both internal and external data to ensure campaigns and tactics are grounded in performance learnings and behavioral trends.
Work with internal and external Marketing and Data Analytics partners to review detailed metrics, then distill analytics into concrete recommendations.
Make recommendations to optimize ad spend, ad copy or ad placements, as warranted by research and metrics.
4. Budget reconciliation and management
Using Fidelity processes, ensure timely review and accounting of all advertising spend as correlates to accurate billing.
Work closely with external partners to ensure timely invoicing, monthly reconciliation of billing and payments.
Work closely with Manager, Digital Advertising to ensure media budget stays on track.
What We Are Looking For:
5+ years of experience building out detailed advertising strategies and tactics required, preferably in the financial services sector.
Thorough understanding of paid digital strategy, mobile and social media channels required.
Ability to communicate clearly, persuasively, and diplomatically to a wide range of audiences.
The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
The ability to manage multiple priorities in an ever-changing environment and meet deadlines.
Must be very detail oriented and can work well under pressure.
Strong Microsoft Office, Adobe Ad Cloud, Adobe Analytics and Audience Manager skills required.
Strong understanding of performance marketing KPIs, including CPI, CPA, CVR, ROAS, CAC, app-event conversion rates, and funnel efficiency.
Demonstrate experience in the one or more of the following ad platforms, but not limited to, Meta, Google Ads, Adobe AdCloud, Reddit, LinkedIn, Spotify, Direct display, Television, sponsorships.
Experience with 3rd party ad serving technology (e.g. DoubleClick).
Financial services experience is a strong asset.
Media Agency experience is a strong asset.
Adobe Analytics skill is an asset.
