The Nutrition Services Aide prepares and distributes food and beverages to patients and guests while maintaining clean and safe food service areas. Responsibilities include cashiering, waiting tables, and adhering to strict food safety and hygiene regulations.
Candidates must be at least 16 years old with a preference for a high school education. Previous experience in foodservice operations and effective communication skills are preferred.
Position Purpose:
In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Nutritional Services Aide performs a variety of preparation, distribution, and sanitation functions in support of assigned areas.
What You Will Do:
Assists with preparing food and beverages for distribution to patients, guests, service/dining areas, and catering services
Stores food, beverages, and supplies in designated containers and areas according to policies and procedures
Assists with customer-facing duties as assigned, including cashiering, waiting tables, tray line delivery, and catering special events
Assists with sanitation duties, including dishwashing and maintaining work and food service areas in a clean, safe, and orderly condition
Adheres to all food safety regulations and manages food safety risks including: personal hygiene, food handling, food preparation and production, and food storage
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school education preferred.
Licensure / Certification:
Experience: Previous experience in a foodservice operation preferred
