The intern will assist experienced engineers with geotechnical site characterization, geologic risk analysis, and the design of shallow and deep foundations for energy infrastructure projects. They will also support construction activities, prepare technical reports, and collaborate with project teams to ensure project goals are met.
Candidates must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field with a focus on structural design. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with structural modeling software such as LPILE, GROUP, or SHAFT is required.

As a Geotechnical Engineering Intern, you will work under the guidance of experienced engineers to support design and construction activities for large energy infrastructure projects including substations, transmission lines, data centers, and others. You will assist with tasks such as geotechnical site characterization, geologic risk analysis, engineering analysis for design of foundations (shallow and deep), and engineering support during construction. This role is primarily office-based, with opportunities for occasional site visits.
As an intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience, mentorship from industry professionals, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to real projects. You’ll also build valuable skills and connections to support your future career.
