Cash Management Specialist I

Department: Business Services

Report To: CM Operations Manager

Grade: 8, Non-Exempt

Salary Range: $21.97 to $32.96 hourly

SUMMARY:

With the goal of enhancing lives, fulfilling dreams, and building communities this position, under moderate supervision and is responsible for member set up of requested Cash Management services. Provide member service and support for all Cash Management supported functions. This person requires an ability to communicate effectively with prospective and current members and to represent the credit union in a positive and professional manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  1. Implements, modifies and deletes Cash Management services in accordance with appropriately executed member agreements and requests. Responsible for member set up of requested Cash Management services on the appropriate platforms
  2. Maintains and monitors RDC supply inventory. Order stock as required with CM management approval. Responsible for sending in inventory to be serviced.
  3. Review and approve daily ACH, Online Wire Transfers, Positive Pay, ACH Blocks & Filters and RDC transactions for further processing. Reviews ACH returns to be informed for member support.
  4. Keeps informed of changes and updates being made to each product to provide support.
  5. Maintains desk procedures and suggests process improvements
  6. Collects and maintains proper documentation of members and their CM products; works with CM team and Business Services personnel to obtain all necessary paperwork. Responsible for keeping documents current to time frame, either by renewal period or when request is made.
  7. Cash Management technical support responsibilities included but are not limited to responding to general member business account inquiries, technical support calls for ACH & RDC services and completion of new and updating existing audit files. Provides customer service and support for all Cash Management supported functions; includes sales support, technical support and administrative assistance
  8. Contributes to the organization's mission statement and goals by providing the highest quality of service, treating each person professionally - with warmth, courtesy, and respect, and making a personal effort to make members feel they belong and are important to the credit union.
  9. Maintains knowledge and adheres to all BSA regulations and compliance standards on internal and external policies.
  10. Effectively incorporates concepts of CARES Principles in daily behaviors and interactions:
  • Connect – Create meaningful relationships?
  • Ask – Be intentionally curious?
  • Resolve – Actively seek solutions?
  • Elevate – Never stop improving?
  • Strengthen – Be the difference?

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no formal, direct supervisory responsibilities although will work with leaders and peers in the organization to drive results.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

Contributes to the organization's mission statement and goals by providing the highest quality of service, treating each person professionally - with warmth, courtesy, and respect, and making a personal effort to make members feel they belong and are important to the credit union.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position operates in a traditional office environment with standard business hours. Regular use of standard office equipment and extended periods of sitting, standing, and computer work may be required. This position requires working on-site during regular business hours. Regular interaction with coworkers, members, and/or management through both in-person and virtual communication platforms is required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus six months to one years’ related experience acquired in a credit union, bank, or other financial institution. Thorough knowledge of credit union’s computer system for performing basic input/output tasks. Preferred: Relevant training in a credit union, bank or other financial institution.

Cash Management Specialist II

Department: Cash Management

Report To: CM Operations Assistant Manager

Grade: 9, Non-Exempt

Salary Range: $24.96 to $37.43

SUMMARY:

With the goal of enhancing lives, fulfilling dreams, and building communities this position, under moderate supervision, is responsible for member set up of requested Cash Management services. Provide member service and support for all Cash Management supported functions. This person requires an ability to communicate effectively with prospective and current members and to represent the credit union in a positive and professional manner. This position demonstrates expertise in at least one major functional area of the department (ACH Origination, Remote Deposit Capture, Positive Pay, Analyzed Accounts, Sweeps, Online Wires). Demonstrates advanced competency levels across the entire spectrum of Cash Management.

  5. Keeps informed of changes and updates being made to each product to provide support. Works in conjunction with the Cash Management Manager in the preparation and revision of policy, procedure, training, reference and contract documents pertaining to CM services.
  6. Maintain quality control over the completeness, accuracy and adequacy of signed and unsigned member agreements and requests; maintains central repository for CM member agreements.
  7. Acts as department representative/subject matter expert on projects that impact the Cash Management area, including any of its products or services.
  8. Maintains knowledge and adheres to all BSA regulations and compliance standards on internal and external policies.
