The MOT Equipment Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting traffic control equipment including message boards, arrow boards, and utility trailers. Candidates must have 2-4 years of trailer maintenance experience, proficiency in 12-volt electrical systems, and welding/fabrication skills. A valid driver's license is required, along with the physical ability to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in various environmental conditions.

The MOT Equipment Mechanic position is responsible for maintaining Maintenance of Traffic equipment (MOT). This equipment includes Message Boards, Arrow Boards, Speed Radar Boards, Portable Regulatory Boards, and utility trailers. This position requires 12 Volt diagnostic ability with CPU, PCB, Solar Regulatory Chargers, & Character Panel wiring. The ideal candidate will need to be familiar with Series and Parallel electrical circuits in relation to battery configurations. This position does require welding/fabrication ability and an understanding of basic hydraulic motor and cylinder functions. We provide training for the specific equipment in use by our company.
Essential Job Functions: Includes, but is not limited to, the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions may be required as deemed necessary by management personnel to contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
