JOB SUMMARY:
The Business Development Manager/Sales Executive will be responsible for the sales and handover of new access equipment, developing service and PMP contracts whilst growing market share for new machines and ground support.
The main focus of the Business Development Representativeis to be responsible for the day to day management of the sales and customer support for their given region by providing excellent customer service to both new and existing customers and meeting and exceeding all sales budgets and set KPI’s.
The position encompasses both new business development as well as customer account management across all aspects of the JLG business; New Machine Sales & Ground Support which includes Used Equipment Sales, Major Inspections, General Service and Spare Parts. The ability to build and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally are essential to this role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for sales to identify customer base or as directed by SSO(Both existing clients and cold calls).
Ensure that the number of service contracts are increased in a profitable manner.
Continue to build positive work relationships with targeted customer base.
Responsible for the recording of all customer contact in the customer relations system and ensuring accurate and timely information is maintained.
Responsible for managing the hand over process on unit deliveries.
Maintain call cycle for visiting and contacting clients.
Assist with the development and delivery of marketing campaigns into the market.
Manage the day to day sales activities and account management of the nominated region.
Ensure all sales targets and KPI’s are achieved.
Ensure all existing and new customers are satisfied and customer service levels are maintained to an excellent standard.
Developing and maintaining a customer call cycle including the management of the customer order back log and weekly sales updates.
Ensure all sales administration, systems & processes are kept up to date and in order.
Provide accurate on time reporting on forecasts and sales activity.
Preparation of quotations and follow up.
Promote and generate leads and sales conversions in all aspects of the business including but not limited to; new machines, used machines, major inspections, service contracts & spare parts.
Network with customers establishing and evaluating any existing and/or forecasted needs.
Attend customer and industry events representing JLG Industries including but not limited to; customer social events, openings, EWPA / HRIA meetings.
General ad-hoc duties as required at branch or national level.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience in a business to business sales role
Experience with CRM systems
Effective communication both written and verbal
Ability to build rapport and strong relationships across all levels of business
Strong organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail.
Strong time-management and prioritization skills, able to multi-task and prioritize competing requirements and meet deadlines.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where requirements are constantly changing.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally when required
Experience and general proficiency with both IT hardware (PC’s, iPad, Smartphone) as well as the use of various web-based or platform based software applications specifically including E-mail in general as well as Microsoft Office/365 - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams etc.
