The Safety Coordinator is responsible for leading onsite safety culture, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This includes managing training programs, performing risk assessments, and coordinating with regulatory agencies and site leadership.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in EHS or a related field with 1-3 years of experience, or 5-7 years of equivalent work experience. Candidates must hold an OSHA 30 hr. certification and possess technical knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced, self-starter, goal oriented, candidate to fill the role of Safety Coordinator working in our Harrison, Ohio facility. This position supports the Ameco site and personnel with safety inspections, compliance program implementation, project planning, employee training, and other safety and health services. This individual must possess a high level of organization and time management skills. He or she must be able to effectively communicate with various audiences as well as people at different levels within the organization. This individual reports directly to the Senior HSE Manager. Other areas of focus would include engaging in out-reach programs within the community that support the goal to be inclusive and our desire to improve the communities in which we live and work.
