Your Opportunity
Stantec's Program Management Construction Management Group is seeking a Construction Manager to work on large, complex transportation construction projects with construction values more than $500M.
Your Key Responsibilities
Oversee all phases of large, complex construction projects serving as a client liaison and leading project teams.
Engage in the Construction Management community, mentor staff, and document lessons learned.
Support recruitment by screening candidates, interviewing, and collaborating with HR on employment offers.
Supervise design-phase constructability and sequencing reviews.
Manage bid phase activities: pre-bid meetings, contractor inquiries, addenda issuance, bid evaluations, and award recommendations.
Direct preconstruction planning, approve procedures and tools, and review contract documents for construction phase readiness.
Oversee day-to-day construction management to ensure compliance with design, budget, and schedule; enforce contractor compliance.
Act as a liaison with clients, agencies, and stakeholders; represent company at meetings and public forums.
Monitor contractor schedules and address delays.
Review inspection reports, material test reports, RFIs, submittals, schedules, shop drawings, change orders, and pay applications for accuracy and compliance.
Coordinate activities across disciplines and resolve project issues promptly.
Implement and enforce company, client, and project policies, procedures, best practices, standards, quality frameworks, and proper use of IP and reusable assets.
Promote and ensure adherence to company and client health and programs.
Oversee post-construction closeout, including final deliverables, punch lists, warranties, and invoicing.
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).
Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
