Objective of the Programme:
The Early Careers Programme participant for CRTG (Centre for Regions, Trade and Geopolitics) China team is needed to support the team with day-to-day work with 30% on administrative tasks and 70% on the engagement of stakeholders of from the governments, publicly funded organizations and institutions of the Greater China region at various Forum events, initiative, projects and meetings.
The ECP participant is expected to work with the team members on different workstreams to provide assistance in research, drafting documents, data analysis, events support and internal and external communications, etc.
Duration and Location:
6-month full-time position at the World Economic Forum Beijing Representative Office
Preferred Start Date:
Between September 01,2026 and October 01,2026
Key categories of responsibilities:
Support the team in Chinese government stakeholders’ participation in the Annual Meeting 2027 and complete the tasks assigned
Contribute to the projects and initiatives led by CRTG China team
Provide Logistics of and administrative support to internal and external meetings or events where government stakeholders participate
Support on data input, research, data analysis, translation and other administrative work
Detailed responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
Provide administrative support to the team
Conduct stakeholder mapping for Chinese government counterparts; identify agenda sessions aligned with their core policy priorities via targeted desk research
Assist Forum team members in liaison and coordination with external stakeholders
Coordinate full logistics arrangements for Chinese officials attending domestic events, including badge preparation, hotel accommodation, ground transportation and related on-site arrangements
Compile background documents & supporting briefing materials; draft formal official correspondence to relevant government authorities
Conduct proactive and timely follow-ups with the stakeholders to guarantee punctual submission and circulation of critical information
Undertake policy research covering central and local government frameworks
Manage end-to-end logistics coordination for high-level official visits
Perform additional ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned by management
Profile Requirements:
Uphold integrity and authenticity; communicate openly, candidly and straightforwardly, with competence to give and receive constructive direct feedback
Mandatory foundational knowledge of the operational mechanisms of China’s government systems
Fluent verbal and written proficiency in both English and Chinese, with verifiable relevant track records
Quick learner capable of multi-tasking, with strong resilience to thrive under tight deadlines and work pressure
Overseas study experience or prior employment with international organizations is highly preferred
Full time graduate student or up to three years working experience in public policy, international relations, language or other relevant discipline is preferred.
