The Security Specialist supports the Bureau of Diplomatic Security by protecting classified national security information and developing security policy standards. They are responsible for monitoring security incidents, conducting investigations, and providing security briefings to senior government officials.
Candidates must possess a Top Secret clearance and a current SSBI, along with a Bachelor's degree or 4-6 years of specialized security experience. Proficiency in Federal government security policies like NISPOM and IC directives is required.

The Security Specialist works with the Bureau of Diplomatic Security. Familiar with all aspects of industrial security, information security, operational security, communications security, and security policy review. Ability to communicate policies and procedures as well as provide training to employees and brief senior level officials. An important aspect to this position is the ability to investigate and analyze unique security issues and formulate coherent mitigation techniques to enhance program operations.
