Full job description
At Mirvac, we reimagine urban life by creating connected communities where people can truly thrive.
We’re proud to manage assets that sit at the heart of their local neighbourhoods, and we’re now seeking an experienced Facility Manager to take operational ownership across both East Village Shopping Centre in Zetland and South Village in Kirrawee.
These vibrant, mixed‑use destinations are integral to their communities, combining convenience retail, dining, public spaces and everyday services. In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure both assets are safe, compliant, welcoming and operating at their best every day.
Your opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Facility Manager, you’ll be responsible for the end‑to‑end maintenance and operational performance of both assets. You’ll work closely with Property Management, Asset Services and onsite partners to deliver exceptional customer experiences while maintaining strong financial, safety and compliance outcomes.
Key responsibilities
Take ownership of the day‑to‑day facilities management across both centres, ensuring assets are maintained in optimal condition
Manage contractors in line with Mirvac HSE&S policies, fostering a strong safety‑first culture
Approve work orders, manage contracts and process invoices within delegated authority
Deliver operational expenditure within forecast and budget
Maintain statutory compliance, logs, registers and asset documentation
Monitor building systems, plant and equipment to ensure operational readiness
Partner with Property Management to support tenants, respond to requests and attend tenant meetings
Participate in operational health checks, audits and compliance reporting
Be part of an after‑hours response roster as required
About you
You’re a proactive and customer‑focused facilities professional who takes pride in well‑run assets and strong community relationships. As well as bring a calm, solutions‑driven approach to managing competing priorities in busy, public‑facing environments.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in facilities management, ideally across retail or mixed‑use assets
Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC, HSE, DDA and risk management requirements
Experience managing contractors, budgets and service contracts
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
Working knowledge of NABERS and sustainability drivers
The ability to work autonomously while collaborating with diverse teams
