About the Role

This role supports patient access at NCCS by strengthening referral pathways – both local and regional whilst also stewarding NCCS's international reputation through MOUs, research collaborations, and clinical exchange partnerships with global cancer centers. The role balances patient access and outreach work with institutional relationship building, enabling access for patients who would benefit from treatment and care at NCCS, while deepening NCCS’ academic and clinical ties internationally. The Assistant Director will also serve as the lead for commercial/advisory contracts; oversee an outreach and engagement team, as well as NCCS’ international relations functions.

Main Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead the patient access team by strengthening referral access pathways
• Lead commercial advisory and contract negotiations, working with legal, compliance, finance, and clinical stakeholders to draft, negotiate, and monitor commercial agreements while establishing reference pricing frameworks
• Manage and grow NCCS' international partnerships portfolio, including MOU governance, delegation visits, and thought leadership opportunities for NCCS clinicians at regional and international platforms
• Establish a structured and sustainable partnerships operating model, including tracking systems, dashboards, standardized documentation frameworks, and KPIs to ensure accountability and continuity
• Lead high-impact strategic projects, delivering structured analysis, data-driven insights, and well-reasoned recommendations to address institutional priorities
• Develop robust business cases supporting new initiatives, service models, and organizational improvements, including financial and operational considerations
• Communicate clearly and effectively with senior leadership and stakeholders to enable alignment, informed decision-making, and successful stakeholder engagement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field; Master's degree (MBA, MHA, or equivalent) with preferred background in healthcare consulting or corporate development
• Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in healthcare outreach, education, visibility and awareness building with stakeholder engagement, strategic partnerships, or professional services, with experience in oncology or specialty healthcare settings preferred
• Proven track record in developing and managing strategic partnerships, preferably with insurance companies, payers, or international healthcare institutions
• Experience in contract negotiation, commercial agreement development, and MOU management in healthcare settings
• Strong analytical, financial modelling, and project management capabilities with proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with cultural sensitivity for international stakeholders
• Fluency in Mandarin is a must (to liaise with China counterpart)
• Experience in developing non-resident patient programs in a non-profit setting 
• Independent, resourceful, and results-driven with strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities
