The Registered Nurse provides and coordinates interdisciplinary patient care within a 30-bed intensive care unit using the nursing process. They are responsible for managing routine patient care, educating families, and communicating variances in patient goals to the healthcare team.
Candidates must have graduated from an accredited nursing program and hold a current Maryland or Compact State Registered Nurse license. A BLS certification is required, and a BSN or MSN degree is preferred.
Using the Quality Caring Model, demonstrates acceptable performance and applies the nursing process to plan and manage the care of routine patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. Effectively communicates fundamental patient/family information to health care team. Identifies and communicates variances from patient goals. Responsible for providing and coordinating interdisciplinary patient care utilizing the nursing process.
This job description, performance appraisal and competency assessment applies to all Registered Nurses who have successfully met performance expectations for Registered Nurse. The employee supports the Mission of CHE Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.

Rate: $40.09 - $57.69
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift patients/patient care equipment up to 35 pounds. Must be able to push, pull, and move patients and patient care equipment. Must be able to bend body downward at the waist and be able to kneel. Must be able to utilize a computer for periods of time throughout the shift.
Visual Acuity: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly at distances close to the eyes.
Auditory Acuity: Must have sufficient acuity to identify auditory alarms in noisy environments.
Environmental Conditions: The worker is subject to hazards associated with a hospital environment.
