What you'll get to do:
Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.

We are looking for you to join our team as a Assembler 2 based out of San Diego, CA. This job opening is for the Rancho Carmel site but could be also asked to support at the Spectrum site in Kearny Mesa. 0530-1500 9x80 schedule
Basic Qualifications Assembler 2:
High School diploma and 2 or more years experience in electronics manufacturing.
J-Standard solder certification, or similar experience or certifications
Experience in soldering filters and/or pick and place automated machines.
Experience in assembling, rework, and modifying prototype cables, components, testers, fixtures, and chassis.
Experience in assembling complex RF circuit cards following engineering-level documentation
Experience developing rework assembly techniques for dense SMT circuit boards.
Experience in performing assembly and rework operations on all types of SMT packages including values and sizes of materials starting as low as .0102.
Experience in constructing wiring harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies from engineering sketches.
Experience with shop floor manufacturing systems (SAP, Solumina, Tableau, etc.)
Experience with ESD (electrostatic discharge) and FOD (foreign object damage) control.
Experience with CUI (controlled unclassified information) and COMSEC (communications security).
Experience with FAR, ITAR, AS9100, and/or ISO 90001 rules and regulations.

Primary Level Salary Range: $43,400.00 - $73,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
