Job Description
The School of Forensic Studies (SFS) at Alliant University is dedicated to graduating rigorously educated and trained professionals who impact society, public opinion, and policy by applying forensic behavioral science in the service of preventing, investigating, and mitigating conflict and violence.
SFS programs share a common approach to education and training: effectively adapting theoretical principles to real-world situations and supporting students to strengthen their professional identities as ethical, effective, and compassionate forensic practitioners.
The PhD program in Psychology, Public Policy and Law is a fully online program. There are occasional synchronous meetings required of adjunct faculty.
Application Description:
Applicants to this position will be considered for a candidate pool encompassing one or more of the subject areas outlined in the job description. This pool will be used to identify qualified candidates for potential appointments during the 2026–2027 academic year.
Salary Range: $34 - $39 hourly (based on course requirements & level of education). This is a temporary, non-benefits eligible role.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Doctoral or other terminal degree in Psychology or associated field, from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Appropriate experience in the areas(s) of specialization and expertise.
Other Desirable Qualifications:
Experience teaching at the doctoral level.
Experience teaching statistics and/or research methods to doctoral students.
Experience serving as a dissertation chair or committee member.
Experience teaching criminal or civil law or legal research to graduate students.
Education or research in media psychology or the effects of media consumption.
Education and/or experience in Behavioral Threat Assessment & Management.
