Perform hearing screens on newborns in hospital settings and provide essential education to parents regarding early intervention. Manage data collection, documentation, and scheduling for babies requiring follow-up outpatient appointments.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and current CPR certification. Candidates must be flexible to work weekends and holidays and be physically capable of standing for most of the shift.
The Hearing Screen Technician (HST) performs hearing screens and provides education to parents on the relevance of hearing screens and the importance of early intervention.
