Full job description
Position type: Contract (12 months) Inside IR35
Deadline to apply: 7th of August
What the hiring manager says
“Mobile technology is entering its next phase: common APIs and exposed network capabilities can change how enterprises, developers and partners interact with mobile and fixed networks. This role sits at the centre of that opportunity. You will help GSMA build the relationships and industry alignment needed to turn stakeholder requirements into practical engagement, stronger adoption and clearer value for the ecosystem.”
Natasha Nayak, Senior Director, GSMA Fusion
About the Team
GSMA Fusion is the demand side engine of Open Gateway. It uses enterprise pain points as a starting point to maximise the value of network APIs. This is an outside-in approach that focuses on the problem first and then maps it to the programmable network capabilities thereby unlocking the real revenue potential for network operators and bridging the gap between what enterprises need and what networks and operators can offer. The team works with enterprises, channel partners and ecosystem participants to understand industry drivers, surface market requirements and produce practical recommendations that can support wider industry adoption. The focus is on demand discovery and value creation through enablement.
You will join a collaborative, internationally focused team that connects technical, commercial and policy perspectives so that industry initiatives are shaped by real stakeholder needs and can move from concept to adoption.
About the Role
As Stakeholder Engagement Lead, you will support GSMA leadership to build and manage high-quality engagement across the mobile industry and the wider Open Gateway ecosystem. You will work with operators, channel partners, aggregators, hyperscalers, enterprise-facing partners and internal GSMA workstreams to understand needs, create alignment and help convert stakeholder input into actionable requirements for technology, commercial and regulatory discussions.
Success in this role means stakeholders are well identified, well engaged and clearly heard. You will help create structured engagement plans, support senior-level conversations, capture feedback, navigate onboarding and adoption considerations, and ensure that stakeholder demand is translated into useful insight for GSMA Fusion.
Key responsibilities
Identify and prioritise stakeholders that can contribute to, benefit from, or accelerate adoption of GSMA Open Gateway and exposed network capability initiatives.
Lead structured engagement with stakeholders to share the status of GSMA industry initiatives, understand their needs and support informed participation.
Build commitment and alignment across external stakeholders by translating industry objectives into clear, practical engagement narratives.
Capture stakeholder requirements and feedback, including technical, commercial and regulatory considerations.
Work closely with senior GSMA colleagues, operators, partners and cross-functional teams to maintain momentum, resolve blockers and support high-quality delivery.
About You
You have demonstrable experience building relationships with internal and external stakeholders in telecoms, technology, enterprise services or a related sector, ideally in an environment involving multiple organisations and senior decision-makers.
You are confident working with C-level executives and senior leaders, and you know how to adapt complex technical, commercial or policy topics into clear, audience-relevant messages.
You can lead work from inception to completion, using strong judgement to manage priorities, escalate issues appropriately and formulate practical solutions in complex environments.
You are collaborative, relationship-led and outcome-focused, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality documentation and follow-through.
About your skills
For this role, the core skills we will explore through the interview process are:
• Communication – you can explain complex topics clearly and credibly to technical, commercial and senior audiences.
• Stakeholder Management – you can build trust, maintain engagement and create alignment across organisations with different priorities.
• Influence – you can secure support and commitment without relying on direct authority.
• Project Management – you can turn engagement activity into structured plans, clear actions and reliable delivery.
• Commercial Awareness – you understand how stakeholder needs, industry adoption and ecosystem value connect.
