JOB SUMMARY:
Represent institutional mortgage lenders and servicers in bankruptcy matters with a focus on protecting and enforcing secured-creditor rights in Chapters 7, 13, and 11. Provide end-to-end legal strategy across the lifecycle of a bankruptcy case, including proof of claim, motions for relief from stay, plan review and objection, loan modification and loss-mitigation oversight, and post-petition compliance. Advise clients on complex bankruptcy, servicing, and investor-guideline issues to ensure regulatory compliance, minimize financial risk, and maximize recoveries while maintaining borrower-facing and court-facing credibility.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
2- 3 years of experience working as an Attorney in the Bankruptcy arena, at least 1 year representing creditors in Nevada Bankruptcy Courts
In good standing and an active member of the Bar
Strong communication and writing skills
Proven abilities to manage multiple responsibilities at once and know when to reprioritize and effectively manage a high case volume in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and rules
Ability to analyze case law and provide recommendations
Must be able to attend hearings and mediations throughout the State of Nevada
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EDUCATION
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
Motivated self starter, with the ability to multi-task, as well as to manage and prioritize multiple projects
Proficient with superior attention to detail
