The Receptionist manages incoming and outgoing calls, greets visitors, and handles basic administrative tasks. They are responsible for routing inquiries and maintaining visitor logs within a senior primary care setting.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and be bilingual in English and Spanish. Experience in healthcare is preferred, though backgrounds in retail, hospitality, or call centers are considered.
· You will operate a switchboard or multi-line phone and maintain long distance call logs.
· You will take and distribute accurate messages.
· You will greet visitors and determine the nature of their visit, issues visitor passes and maintain visitor logs.
· You will alert appropriate party of visitor arrival or directs visitors to appropriate office, department or employee.
· You will respond to routine inquiries from internal or external sources such as our location, hours of operation, phone numbers, and email address.
· Your additional responsibilities may include miscellaneous administrative activities such as booking meeting rooms, typing, organizing and distributing mail, receiving and sending courier packages.
· You will limit decisions to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities and timing, and works under close guidance and within established guidelines with minimal opportunity for deviation.
· High School Diploma or GED
· Bilingual in English and Spanish
· 1 year or more of experience working in a Healthcare setting preferred but will consider candidates with a Customer Service background in Retail Hospitality, Call Centers.
· Excellent customer service
· Team player
· We consider this role patient-facing and runs the Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, we will require you to screen for TB.
· Value-based care model experience
· Knowledge of Medical Terminology
· Experience with EMR Systems (Electronic Medical Records)
