Candidates must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing and hold an active Washington State Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Support (BLS) is required, and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within three months of hire.

Under general supervision, the Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) applies elements of the nursing process in the provision of professional nursing care to all patients in accordance with accepted standards of practice for the Endoscopy GI Lab. The staff RN is responsible for assessing the patient’s individual care needs and developing a plan of care based on this assessment. The RN is responsible for the facilitation of patient care delivery by effectively collaborating with other health care providers on an intra- and interdepartmental basis.
