Senior Human Resources Generalist
Everett, WA | Human Resources |
Ready for Your Next Step in HR?
Jamco is looking for a SeniorHuman Resources Generalist to join our HR team in Everett, Washington.
This is a great opportunity for an HR professional who has built a solid foundation and is ready for more-more exposure, more ownership, and the opportunity to continue developing across Human Resources.
In this role, you’ll work across the employee lifecycle, supporting areas such as employee relations and day-to-day employee support, recruiting and onboarding, benefits, FMLA and leave administration, HR systems, employee engagement, compliance, and HR projects.
You’ll work closely with our HR and recruiting teams, employees, managers, and leaders throughout the organization. For someone who demonstrates initiative, sound judgment, and leadership capability, this position offers meaningful opportunity to take on increasing responsibility, lead HR initiatives, and potentially grow into future HR leadership opportunities.
What You'll Do
Serve as an approachable and trusted HR resource for employees and managers.
Support recruiting activities in partnership with our recruiting team and hiring managers, including sourcing, screening, interviews, candidate communication, offers, and onboarding.
Help create a positive and organized onboarding experience for new employees.
Support benefits administration and assist employees with benefits-related questions.
Administer and track FMLA and other applicable employee leave programs.
Support employee lifecycle activities, including new hires, transfers, promotions, employee changes, and separations.
Maintain accurate employee information and transactions within our HRIS.
Prepare HR reports, employee documentation, communications, and organizational information.
Support employee engagement, recognition, training, and other people-focused initiatives.
Assist with HR compliance and the administration of HR policies and programs.
Participate in and increasingly take ownership of HR projects and process improvements.
Take on broader responsibilities as your experience, knowledge, and capabilities grow.
What We're Looking For
3–5 years of progressive Human Resources experience preferred, with demonstrated experience supporting recruiting and talent acquisition activities.
Working knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and HR best practices.
Experience with benefits, FMLA, leave administration, onboarding, or other general HR functions.
Experience using HRIS systems and maintaining accurate employee data; ADP experience is preferred.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and changing needs.
Professional judgment and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative member of the HR team.
Strong initiative, curiosity, and willingness to continue learning.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, engineering, or another fast-paced environment is a plus.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is organized, approachable, flexible, dependable, and genuinely enjoys helping people—but who also understands that great HR requires attention to detail, good judgment, accountability, and follow-through.
You don't need to have done everything in HR already.
What matters is having a strong foundation, the ability and desire to learn, and the initiative to take on more as you grow.
An Opportunity to Grow
We see this as more than simply filling an HR Generalist position.
The right person will have the opportunity to broaden their HR experience, take ownership of programs and projects, develop deeper expertise, contribute ideas and process improvements, mentor and support others, and build relationships with leaders across the organization.
If you're looking for an HR role where you can contribute today while building toward what comes next in your career, we'd like to meet you.
