The IRB Specialist evaluates protocol submissions and ensures clinical research activities comply with institutional, state, and federal regulations. They also coordinate IRB meetings and serve as a liaison between committees, investigators, and staff.
A Bachelor's degree in health sciences or bioethics and at least one year of experience in research administration or regulatory affairs are required. Proficiency in MS Office and a CITI certification within 30 days of hire are also mandatory.

The major functions of the position include evaluating protocol submissions, advising investigators, supporting the IRBs and managing daily operations of the IRB Administration Office.
