Lead environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives for a major construction project, ensuring all legislative requirements and management plans are implemented. Coordinate monitoring, auditing, and stakeholder engagement to minimize project impacts and drive environmental excellence.
Requires a tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or a related field and at least 7 years of experience in construction or infrastructure projects. Must possess strong knowledge of environmental legislation, auditing processes, and stakeholder management skills.
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to lead environmental compliance, approvals, and sustainability performance on a major construction project. Reporting to the Project Director, you will be responsible for preparing, implementing, and maintaining the Project Environmental Management Plan while ensuring compliance with all environmental legislation, contractual obligations, approvals, and project requirements.
This role will work closely with project teams, clients, regulators, consultants, and subcontractors to proactively manage environmental risks, support project delivery, and drive a culture of environmental excellence across all construction activities.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering a major project while driving environmental performance, compliance, and sustainable outcomes across all stages of construction.
