The Opportunity
At APA, our purpose is to secure Australia’s energy future. We’re not doing it alone. We’re doing it with our customers and communities as Australia’s energy infrastructure partner, a role our unique experience and expertise positions us to play.
We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Corridor Integrity Services Officer to join our Corridor Integrity team in Brisbane on a Permanent Full Time basis.
Reporting to the Team Lead Corridor Integrity Services, you will be responsible for receiving and assessing Before You Dig Australia (BYDA) enquiries, responding to external stakeholder enquiries regarding third-party works that may impact APA assets, and providing general administrative support, including mail-outs and maintaining landholder database records. This role offers a great opportunity to develop technical knowledge of third-party works management and asset protection processes, with support to build your expertise across APA’s BYDA and Corridor Integrity activities and expand into broader responsibilities over time.
Key Responsibilities
Assess proposed civil, construction and utility works for potential impacts to APA assets.
Manage high volumes of BYDA enquiries and provide accurate responses within required timeframes.
Engage with contractors, developers, utilities, councils and other stakeholders to gather information on proposed works.
Maintain accurate records, correspondence and stakeholder/landholder information within APA systems, including supporting mail-outs and communications.
Build your knowledge of Corridor Integrity requirements, third-party works processes and safe work practices around APA infrastructure.
Your Background
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated customer service or stakeholder engagement experience.
Experience or exposure to civil construction, utility infrastructure, earthworks, roadworks, surveying or related industries is highly regarded.
Ability to interpret construction plans, drawings or work scopes would be advantageous.
Proven ability to manage high volumes of information and maintain accurate records.
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure while effectively managing competing priorities.
About the Team
The Corridor Integrity team plays an important role in protecting APA’s infrastructure and supporting the safe management of activities around our assets. The team works across Corridor Integrity Services and broader Corridor Integrity functions, providing support for third-party works, landholder engagement and the maintenance of key records and information.
It’s a collaborative and supportive team environment, with plenty of opportunity to learn about civil construction, utility operations and APA’s third-party works processes. For someone looking to build a long-term career in infrastructure protection and corridor management, the team provides a great foundation to develop your knowledge and experience over time.
