Key Responsibilities: 
•    Lead the engineering department: set direction, standards, culture and build team capability 
•    Plan and deliver capital works programmes with EVT Corporate Engineering, from scoping through to commissioning 
•    Maintain the property's long range capital expenditure and asset lifecycle plan 
•    Own the safety, reliability and efficiency of all building systems, plant and infrastructure 
•    Manage contractor and consultant relationships, including principal contractors on major works 
•    Ensure full regulatory compliance and drive a strong safety culture across the team and contractor workforce 
•    Lead engineering operating and capital budgets, reporting performance to the GM and owners 
•    Act as the senior on property link to EVT Corporate Engineering on standards, reporting and portfolio initiatives 
•    Lead, develop and support the Maintenance Manager and technician team, including recruitment and succession

What You’ll Bring:
•    Trade qualification (mechanical, electrical, plumbing or related) or equivalent experience, ideally with formal engineering, FM or business qualifications
•    Senior leadership experience in hotel engineering, maintenance or FM within a complex, high volume or luxury hospitality setting
•    Proven track record leading teams across both operational maintenance and capital project delivery
•    Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, hydraulic, fire safety, essential services and building management systems
•    Solid grasp of engineering compliance, essential services obligations and WHS legislation
•    Experience engaging senior ownership and investment stakeholders on engineering and capital matters
•    Strong financial management skills: budgeting, cost control, capital expenditure
•    Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Nice to have: current trade licence, MyBuildings (or similar) experience, PMP/AIPM or equivalent, luxury hotel or large resort background, relevant state building legislation knowledge, NABERS exposure, first aid certificate.
