The Service Manager leads all service operations, including P&L budgeting, customer relations, and the training and supervision of service employees. They are responsible for ensuring superior aftermarket support, managing warranty settlements, and driving the growth of the product support business.
Requires a high school diploma or GED, with a technical degree preferred and at least five years of experience in heavy construction equipment management. Specific expertise with mobile hydraulic and crawler cranes, particularly Manitowoc, National, and Grove brands, is highly beneficial.
The Service Manager is responsible for leading all service operations including customer relations, P&L budgeting for the department, training of all service employees, overseeing the technician’s work area, prioritization of work orders and ensuring all safety protocols are being followed.
This position will be located at the Kansas City, MO branch for MGX Equipment Services and reports to the Branch Manager.
HEALTH & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
This is a full-time position with typical 1st shift working hours. Overtime and weekend work may be possible based on business conditions.

This position will be located in an office environment, with considerable exposure to elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises. While performing the duties of this job, the employees is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. There is frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
This position offers a pay range between $88,000 - $130,000 annually plus variable compensation package.
