Provide applications engineering and design support to sales programs and OEM vendors throughout the full sales cycle. Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of marine and industrial equipment to ensure performance specifications are met.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Marine, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering with three to seven years of related experience. Must possess strong hands-on skills with heavy diesel machinery and the ability to travel 75% of the time.
Travel Required: 75%, to include international travel.
Position is based in Florida.
POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for providing applications engineering support for sales programs. Work with outside sales personnel providing field support for customers. Act as customer interface with responsibility to increase sales by providing engineering and design support for key customers, working with customers and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) vendors through the full sales cycle.
Computer SkillsBasic computer navigation and utilization skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint) preferred.
Inventor or similar three dimension solid modeling / CAD experience is preferred.
Certificates & LicensesPassed Engineer In Training Exam is preferred.
Other RequirementsBachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
Strong “hands-on” skills and interest in heavy diesel machinery is required.
Ability to effectively present information to top management, sales groups, engineers, and/or customers required.
Ability to read and understand technical specifications, drawings, documents such as safety rules, blueprints, material specifications, quality standards and procedure manuals.
