The Yard Jockey is responsible for moving trailers in and out of docks using yard goats and performing accurate yard audits. They must conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and adhere to all safety-sensitive guidelines.
Candidates need at least 12 months of verifiable trailer spotting or over-the-road experience within the last 3 years. A clean MVR, no felony convictions within 7 years, and the ability to pass a drug test are required, while a Class A CDL is preferred.
