The sanitation associate is responsible for maintaining warehouse cleanliness by mopping, sweeping, and scrubbing surfaces, as well as managing trash disposal and product spills. They must also operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks while maintaining accurate sanitation logs and safety standards.
Candidates should have proficient reading skills and the ability to follow directions, with a high school diploma or equivalent preferred. The role requires physical stamina to lift up to 100lbs and the ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions.

Job Responsibilities:
• Proficient in mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, and vacuuming surfaces
• Empties trash bins and cleans trash area daily; operates trash compactor when applicable
• Pulls pallets and clean/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis
• Clean up any spills or breakages to the inventoried product; recoup damages and determine if resalable or must be disposed of per food safety standards and requirements
• Clean other areas of the warehouse and offices, including break rooms, restrooms, offices, etc.
• Complete daily sanitation logs
• Utilize chemicals, detergents, and cleaning equipment
• Operate scrubber and pallet jacks if required to perform duties
• Able to identify and address cleanliness and sanitation issues
• Complies with all safety requirements
• Escalate issues timely and directly to supervisor
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system
• Operate forklifts or pallet jacks to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several
locations for shipmen
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
