Assists in maintaining a safe environment for hotel employees and guests by responding to all emergencies.
Performs preventive maintenance regarding plumbing and electrical systems such as checking outlets and pipe systems.
Repairs furniture & structures such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, window, counters, & others.
Completes painting projects, wallpaper repair/hanging and finishing of furniture and structures.
Checks electrical systems such as refrigeration controls, television sets, and lighting systems, and makes minor repairs.
Checks and makes minor repairs to HVAC systems, & fixtures, such as pipelines, toilets & sinks.
Qualifications
1–3 years of experience as a maintenance engineer or repairman (experience in a high-volume hotel or resort preferred)
Degree, certification, or training in engineering is a plus
Ability to use general repair tools, read basic drawings and specifications, and make rough estimates of required material
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
Ability to bend, stand, and walk frequently
Strong communication skills (written and spoken)
