About Submer
Submer designs and delivers end-to-end AI datacenter infrastructure built around industry-leading liquid cooling.
We help organizations scale AI beyond the limits of traditional datacenters by enabling higher density, greater efficiency and lower environmental impact – accelerating time-to-AI from first deployment to full production.
What impact you will have
You'll own communications for our AI infrastructure stack at group level, working at the cutting edge of one of the most dynamic industries in tech — and helping us build that future the responsible way, driven by a strong green agenda at the heart of how we grow.
As a senior communications leader with strong agency experience and deep expertise across technology, data centers, AI, infrastructure, data centers and / or cloud, you will define, shape, and amplify our global narrative. You bring a strong understanding of the hyperscaler landscape and broader ecosystem (including Nvidia), enabling you to engage credibly with our most important audiences.
You will ensure that the global AI infrastructure story resonates with global stakeholders, including hyperscalers, media, analysts, and policymakers. Your work will localize global messaging to the EMEA, APAC and US market, proactively build reputation, and establish a trusted voice for the company in a complex and highly competitive environment.
Combining strategic insight with hands-on execution, you will translate deep technical expertise into clear, compelling narratives that influence the market, strengthen our positioning, and drive engagement with priority audiences.
In this role, you will define and amplify our global narrative, ensuring it resonates with US and global stakeholders and reflects local priorities, culture, and market realities. You will:
Shape and communicate the AI infrastructure & cloud story for business and tech media, analysts, regulators, and key customers, including hyperscalers.
Build and maintain proactive reputation programs that increase visibility, strengthen credibility, and differentiate the company in a competitive Global market.
Lead strategic messaging and narrative and content development for thought leadership, positioning the company as a trusted voice in AI infrastructure and data center & cloud innovation.
Serve as the dedicated global point-person for issues and crisis communications, ensuring timely and effective responses to regulatory, political, or sensitive topics.
Influence internal and external audiences through compelling content, executive briefings, media engagement, and coordinated campaigns, driving measurable impact on brand perception and awareness.
What you’ll do
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute regional communications strategies aligned with global priorities.
Lead tactical decision-making on message prioritization and narrative localization.
Advise and partner closely with the Group CMO and regional General Managers on strategic communications and sensitive topics.
Media & Analyst Engagement:
Build strong relationships with top-tier global business, tech, AI, and infrastructure journalists
Drive analyst relations, including briefings, content, and follow-ups.
Translate complex technical AI infrastructure topics into compelling stories for different audiences.
Content & Brand:
Produce regionally relevant content: thought leadership, case studies, executive talking points, and opinion pieces.
Oversee Global marketing assets for alignment with global messaging.
Establish repeatable processes, playbooks, and operational frameworks for communications execution.
Team, Budget & Agency Management:
Initially operate as a senior individual contributor, expanding into a small comms team over time.
Manage external PR, analyst relations, and potential public affairs agencies.
Provide input and manage regional communications budgets and technology tools.
Crisis & Issue Management:
Act as the primary global point-person for issues, regulatory scrutiny, and politically sensitive topics.
Ensure rapid, strategic responses to unforeseen developments.
What you’ll need
10+ years in communications, with strong agency experience preferred (Account Director/Associate Director level) or experience in a global tech organization.
Degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, or similar. Postgraduate or business background is a plus.
Expertise in technology, AI, infrastructure, cloud, or data centers.
Exposure to hyperscalers and the broader ecosystem, particularly Nvidia, is strongly preferred.
Media relations, analyst relations, and content strategy.
Crisis communications in regulated or politically sensitive environments.
Marketing literacy and ability to coordinate cross-functional initiatives.
High resilience, adaptability, and comfort with ambiguity.
Executive presence; able to influence senior leaders and “manage up.”
Autonomous, hands-on, and collaborative.
Flexible with timezones and travel requirements.
Familiarity with media and analyst databases, social listening, monitoring, reporting, and collaboration tools.
What we offer
Attractive compensation package reflecting your expertise and experience.
A great work environment characterized by friendliness, international diversity, flexibility, and a hybrid-friendly approach.
You´ll be part of a fast-growing scale-up with a mission to make a positive impact, offering an exciting career evolution.
Our job titles may span more than one job level. The actual base pay is dependent on a number of factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands.
Our inclusive responsibility
Submer is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, veteran status, or any other protected category under applicable law.
Submer does not accept unsolicited resumes from agencies or search firms. Candidates submitted without a signed agreement for a specific role will not be eligible for placement fees. Existing agency partners should follow the terms of their agreements.
Submer Group connects independent specialist companies across the AI infrastructure stack to close the gap between AI ambition and AI reality. Built on a decade of infrastructure engineering and now spanning from land and power to cloud and edge, it is a house of independent companies, each a leader in its own layer, with its own standards and accountability, connected so that expertise compounds across the stack. The group is built to address the structural constraints of AI infrastructure, namely power availability, thermal density, deployment speed and data sovereignty, enabling AI to be deployed efficiently and at scale. Its companies include Rubix Data Centers, which develops and operates AI-ready hyperscale data centers, and Radian Arc, whose InferX platform delivers GPU-as-a-Service, placing AI compute where it creates value. The group has deployed 500 MW+ of liquid-cooled infrastructure, holds 8 GW+ of powered land across the Americas, EMEA and APAC, and runs 2,000+ GPUs live across telecom. Founded in Barcelona in 2015, the group operates globally, with hubs in Houston and Taipei.
