Serve as the operational backbone for the AISF program by establishing governance frameworks, roadmaps, and tracking program health. Coordinate across research, engineering, and product teams to resolve dependencies and ensure predictable delivery.
Requirements
Requires 5-7 years of experience in technical program coordination or operations within fast-paced, engineering-heavy environments. Must possess strong stakeholder influence skills and the ability to lead complex programs without direct authority.
Full job description
Your Impact at LILA
Lila is hiring a Technical Program Manager to serve as the operational backbone for AISF program execution. The role enables program delivery through governance infrastructure, cross-team alignment, risk escalation, and stakeholder coordination, working in close partnership with AISF Strategy and Execution leadership and program leads to remove blockers and keep delivery predictable across the portfolio.
The TPM is the connective tissue across research, engineering, product, and operations: surfacing alignment gaps, tracking dependencies, and keeping programs moving together rather than in silos.
What You'll Be Building
Partner with AISF program leads and Strategy and Execution to establish program charters, roadmaps, and governance frameworks across the portfolio.
Facilitate alignment sessions, steering committees, and review cadences; drive decisions and resolve cross-functional dependencies.
Track program health, milestones, blockers, and risks; escalate issues and surface coordination patterns to leadership.
Coordinate workstreams across programs, resolving conflicts in resource allocation, sequencing, and stakeholder priorities.
Maintain program documentation, dashboards, and decision logs; produce status updates, risk summaries, and executive briefings for leadership.
Support budget, headcount, and resource planning alongside Finance and program leads; provide visibility into financial and resource trends.
Identify and implement process improvements, standardization opportunities, and scaling solutions as the AISF portfolio grows.
What You'll Need to Succeed
5–7 years of experience in technical program coordination, project management, or operations in research-driven, engineering-heavy, or fast-paced environments.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex programs across multiple functions, driving outcomes without direct authority.
Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to distill complexity for diverse stakeholder groups.
Comfort with ambiguity and evolving priorities; track record of adapting in cross-functional environments.
Excellent stakeholder management and influence skills.
Proficiency with project management tools, documentation, and process infrastructure.
Solid understanding of technical concepts and research workflows.
Bonus Points For
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
Experience in AI/ML, biotech, or research-driven organizations.
Familiarity with Agile, Kanban, or portfolio management methodologies.
Background supporting scientific teams or regulated research environments.
Experience building or scaling program governance frameworks and operating models.
Compensation
We offer competitive base compensation with bonus potential and generous early-stage equity. Your final offer will reflect your background, expertise, and expected impact.
U.S. Benefits. Full-time U.S. employees receive a comprehensive benefits program including medical, dental, and vision coverage; employer-paid life and disability insurance; flexible time off with generous company wide holidays; paid parental leave; an educational assistance program; commuter benefits, including bike share memberships for office based employees; and a company subsidized lunch program.
International Benefits. Full-time employees outside the U.S. receive a comprehensive benefits program tailored to their region. USD salary ranges apply only to U.S.-based positions; international salaries are set to local market.
Expected Base Salary Range
$140,000—$172,667 USD
