Role Description
As a Technical Trainer at Harmonic, you will work closely with Sales, Services, Operations, Product Management, and R&D teams to develop and deliver high-quality technical education for customers, partners, and internal teams.
This is a customer-facing role requiring previous experience delivering technical training and confidently presenting complex technical topics. You will create and deliver Instructor-Led Training (ILT), webinars, trainer-led videos, and engaging LMS courses while collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy and an exceptional learning experience.
You will also support training project planning, contribute to customer training proposals, and deliver both remote and onsite training, including occasional international travel.
Location
Remote – this position is 100% Remote, based in the East Cost area, USA.
What you will be doing:
Deliver instructor-led technical training to Harmonic customers, partners, and internal teams, both remotely and onsite.
Create, maintain, and continuously improve technical training content, including LMS courses, trainer-led videos, webinars, and other digital learning materials.
Present complex technical topics in a clear, engaging, and customer-focused manner.
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts, Product Management, R&D, Sales, and Customer Support to develop accurate and effective training content.
Support training project planning, customer training proposals, and the lifecycle management of training content.
Proctor certification exams and support the development and maintenance of the training lab in the Rennes office.
Assist customers and partners with onboarding to the Harmonic training platform, training scheduling, and other training-related inquiries.
What you should have:
Proven experience delivering customer-facing technical training, with excellent presentation and communication skills.
Experience creating digital learning content, including LMS courses, trainer-led videos, webinars, and e-learning materials using Adobe Captivate and/or similar authoring tools.
Strong technical background in DOCSIS/CMTS, PON, IP networking, switching, routing protocols, and the TCP/IP stack.
Experience in configuration and administration of ISO image, Kubernetes, Ubuntu and Linux-based servers.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with a passion for learning new technologies.
Ability to engage and inspire technical audiences. Candidates will be asked to deliver a short technical presentation during the interview process.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or equivalent experience.
Fluent English.
Travel
You are required to travel up to 50% of the time.
Pay & Benefits
For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $85,000 - $95,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market, location, and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
