The Lifeguard is responsible for maintaining active surveillance of the pool area to ensure a safe swimming environment for all individuals. They must respond immediately to emergency situations and perform routine equipment and chemical checks.
Candidates must be at least 15 years old and hold current YMCA or American Red Cross Lifeguard certifications. Applicants must also pass specific swim-tread-swim and timed water rescue prerequisites.
