Our programs serve individuals at every age and developmental level, from the very young through our daycare programs to mature adults through our older adults centers. POSITION OVERVIEW
Under supervision of the Program Director, the requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities as defined by the ADA to perform the essential functions of the job. The Assistant Program Director assists the Program Director with the management of the PROS program. This person will assist with oversight of the operations of the program to assure that they follow agency procedures and operates in accordance with all regulatory agency requirements. The Assistant Director performs all tasks and duties delegated by the Program Director.
KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs clinical, compliance, and administrative duties as instructed, which includes the provision of clinical supervision with complete documentation in accordance with OMH standards and regulations.
Works as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team and practices client centered and holistic care.
Carries a small caseload (2 - 5 clients), evaluates and provides therapeutic interventions for adults diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illnesses.
Assessments performed with complete formulation, differential diagnosis, treatment and safety planning.
Provides individual therapy and group services rooted in evidenced based practice.
Communicates effectively with client, collateral contacts, outside agencies, referring agencies, and/or outside providers as needed for continuity of care.
Maintains appropriate and timely documentation of clinical services and related clinical contacts in accordance with OMH regulations and organizational expectations.
Along with the Program Director (PD), responsible for the day-to-day operations of the PROS Program; Intakes, Admissions, and Discharges.
Works in partnership with the Program Director in the development and planning process.
In conjunction with the PD and PROS Biller, monitor daily billing errors by running reports in the electronic health record system, AWARDS.
In conjunction with the PD and Administrative Assistant, monitor daily census report, and no show report to maximize all schedules.
In conjunction with the PD, monitors daily billable hours with a rapid face-to-face interaction with staff who are underperforming.
Partners with intake clinicians to ensure PROS policies are fully implemented and being followed.
Collaborates with the PD on weekly QA, IRC, UR, and other required meetings.
Reviews clinical case records daily.
Monitors the submission of all required documentation with weekly and monthly alerts.
Engages in layered audits trust/verify systems and checklists.
Other duties and assignments, as required by the program and the PD
REQUIREMENTS
3+ years of previous relevant experience in Social Work and/or Mental Health in a Behavioral Health environment, required.
2+ years of previous relevant supervisory experience, preferred.
Master’s degree in social work and/or mental health counseling, or related field, is required.
New York State LCSW, LMSW, or LMHC w/ diagnosis criteria, required.
S.I.F.I preferred (LMSW/LCSW)
Ability to use business acumen to exercise good judgment and decision-making.
Ability to deal with sensitive issues with diplomacy and discretion.
Must be able to multitask with strong organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate both verbally and in written form.
Commitment to cultural diversity and sensitivity.
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor under pressure and operate with a keen sense of urgency and commitment to quality.
