The Director of Social Services manages daily operations of a mental health shelter, ensuring compliance with city, state, and federal regulations. They oversee clinical services, supervise multidisciplinary staff, and coordinate care for residents to foster self-sufficiency and recovery.
A Master's degree in human services and three to five years of supervisory experience in a residential facility for homeless or mentally ill populations are required. NYS Licensure (LMHC, LMSW, or LCSW) is mandatory.
