Northrop Grumman’s Corporate Sector, Chief Information & Digital Office (CIDO) is seeking a Principal Information Systems Project Manager to support the Corporate IT portfolio, with a focus on complex, multi‑stakeholder IT initiatives that span functional organizations. The selected candidate will be required to work full-time at our Baltimore, MD, Redondo Beach, CA, and Rolling Meadows, IL locations. Other NG locations may be considered based on business need.

Key Responsibilities:
Leads and directs one or more project teams engaged in the design, implementation, and modification of IT projects that span across functional organizations (e.g., business, cyber, engineering, and operations).
Prepares integrated project execution plans and identifies the appropriate technical and business resources needed; establishes roles, responsibilities, and engagement models for matrixed teams.
Ensures projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet defined technical, security, and business requirements.
Provides guidance to project teams, applying a thorough understanding and wide application of IT and project‑management principles, theories, and concepts.
Keeps current on advances in the field of IT and related disciplines; incorporates best practices, methods, and tools into project strategies and execution.
Independently determines and develops approaches to solutions, working under general direction and exercising delegated authority for project‑level decisions (risk, priorities, resource allocation).
Coordinates delivery of information systems and services, ensuring integration of system design, development, security, testing, and deployment activities.
Identifies, analyzes, and mitigates program‑level risks, issues, and dependencies; develops imaginative, thorough, and practicable solutions consistent with organizational objectives.
Prepares and presents executive‑level status reports, dashboards, and analytics that clearly communicate progress, risks, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
Frequently interfaces with cross‑sector and external stakeholders, representing the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.
Develops and implements business readiness and change‑management plans, including communications, training, and adoption strategies to ensure successful transition to operations.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of relevant professional project management experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3+ years with a Master’s; or 1+ year with a PhD.
Demonstrated experience leading IT projects or programs that span multiple functional organizations (e.g., business, IT, security, engineering).
Demonstrated proficiency in cost/schedule management.
Ability to work under general direction, independently determine approaches to solutions, and contribute to the completion of specific programs and projects.
Strong communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills, including experience interacting with leadership and cross‑functional teams.
Candidates must have a current U.S. Government Secret security clearance (at a minimum), to include a closed investigation date completed within the last 6 years OR must be enrolled in the U.S. Government Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program to be considered.
Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Access Programs as a condition of continued employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting secure or classified environments, cyber governance, or compliance‑driven IT programs.
Understanding of security and compliance frameworks (e.g., DFARS, Risk Management Framework) and related disciplines.
Proven experience managing projects delivering complex, multi‑function enterprise IT solutions across business and technical teams.
Experience leading data migration, metrics/dashboards, testing, training, or deployment activities in a program environment.
Experience managing IT solutions that support business processes such as manufacturing, supply chain, finance, procurement, or similar areas.
Current PMP, SAFe, Scrum, ITIL, or other relevant technical/project‑management certification strongly preferred.
Experience managing projects using tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps (AzDO), and/or ServiceNow strongly preferred.

Primary Level Salary Range: $108,800.00 - $171,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
