IDEAL Electric is the last 100% American-owned, vertically integrated OEM of its kind. In Mansfield, Ohio, we engineer, manufacture, test, and service custom electric motors, generators, condensers, converters, power systems, and controls up to 50 MVA. Since 1903, we have built high-power rotating electric machinery for power generation, defense, industry, water, and oil and gas applications.
Our work spans custom synchronous and induction motors and generators, plus OEM service for both new and legacy equipment. It also carries forward the large-application legacies of Beloit Power Systems, Colt Industries, and Fairbanks Morse electric motors and generators.
We still do the work in-house. We support legacy equipment from original drawings, specifications, and test data. We prove what we build on our test floor before it ships. Customers come to IDEAL for new machines, replacements, and long-term support.
For customers who need that level of control, accountability, and long-term performance, there are not many manufacturers left that still work this way.
No one builds them like they used to. Except us.
